  • “Lessons on Ethics, Justice, and Interfaith Relations: A Reflection on Civil Rights and Catholic Teachings”

    in this last module, we read from two seminal documents: one for US civil rights discourse that touches upon many Christian themes of ethics and racial justice; and one that articulates the current Catholic Christian teaching on relations with other members of the Christian family tree AND those practicing other religions as part of their worldview.
    Looking back at the semester, what stands out as the most important lesson from each and how does it bridge the vision of eschatological (looking to the end of time) hope that McGrath presents in his final chapter on “Heaven”?

In reading the dynamic way that human faith understands creation as beginning the “work” of God and Jesus “completing” it through his life, ministry, death, and resurrection, how do Christians understand the role of the Spirit today?
