  • Title: Leadership in Action: A Case Study Analysis and Reflection

Students will read and analyze a case study of their choice from a chapter/reading to date. At the end of each case, students will respond to thought-provoking questions using leadership concepts presented in the chapter to substantiate responses. Students will complete an approximately five-page paper that covers the following: an introduction and preview, responses to case study questions with connections to appropriate theory, reflection related to results of self-evaluation questionnaire with connections to theory, and an integration of faith and learning.
    Assignment Criteria
Introduction (suggested length – one page)
Briefly give an overview of the case noting all important quantitative and qualitative date, or the important facts of the case. Provide a preview of what will be covered in the remaining sections of the paper.
Responses to Case Study Questions (suggested length – two pages or one fully developed paragraph per response)
Thoroughly respond to each case study question. Answer each of the questions related to the Case Study in a separate paragraph. You may begin each of your paragraphs with a declarative statement or topic sentence that encompasses each specific question. Be sure to support your assertions with research in each of your responses.
Self-Evaluation Leadership Questionnaire Results (suggested length – one page)
Analyze and evaluate your leadership self-evaluation questionnaire results in relation to the Case Study. What do the results suggest about you and how would you apply those results to this Case Study, and/or more importantly, in your current or desired leadership postion? Be sure to support your assertions with research in your response.
Faith Integration (suggested length – one fully developed paragraph)
Reflect and reply upon a particular faith message from the current week or throughout the course. Is there a Case Study application? If so, discuss that application, and if not, discuss how you might apply the important component/s of the message to another real-life scenario. If my faith integration message for the week does not resonate with you, you may choose your own message. The important idea here is to align leadership and spiritual understandings.
The paper should be approximately five pages, not including title page and references. Be sure to adhere to APA style as it relates to title page, headings (Level I & II headings should suffice), in-text citations, and references.
