Hello, im really lost and struggling to solve some applied dynamics exercises and would appreciate some help.

  • Title: Calculating Workshop Building Load and Heating Energy Requirements in Fresno, CA

In this problem we will calculate the “load” of a workshop building based on standard
construction. Refer to Table 9.4.1. The workshop is a square building 4 m on each side with
walls 3 m tall and a flat roof. The walls are as described in Table 9.4.1 for wood stud
construction. Each side has window that is 1 m x 2 m, and the windows are single pane. The
ceiling is insulated with R-38 fiberglas insulation. Please look at the slides to convert R-38 into a
U-value, which is given in W/m2 -C. You can ignore the floor for this calculation.
How much energy must delivered to the workshop in the month of January in Fresno, CA?
Which building element loses more heat, the walls, the windows, or the ceiling?
Using data from Fresno, could the heating energy requirements be met in theory from solar
    energy?
