  • “Overcoming Academic Obstacles: My Journey to Excelling in Chemistry” Overcoming Academic Obstacles: My Journey to Excelling in Chemistry

Describe a time when you were faced with a stressful situation academically, explaining how you coped with that situation and what you learned from the experience.
This is an admissions essay for a pharmacy school. It is just geared towards that school, it’s their
own prompt they ask applicants to answer.
    About myself:
I graduated from Montclair State University with a bachelor’s in science majoring in biology with a minor in chemistry. Out of all the courses I took there, all the chemistry courses were hard for me, from general chemistry to organic chemistry. I was not used to studying by applying yourself because that’s what chemistry was all about; I was used to studying by memorization. Therefore, not understanding my own study techniques made it hard for me to do well on chemistry exams. Then this is ironic because I chose to pursue a doctorate in pharmacy, where chemistry and math play a big part.
I wanted to pursue a pharmD after working as a pharmacy technician, as pharmacists play an integral role in the healthcare field while working with other healthcare workers to provide optimal care for patients.
If you need help, please feel free to reach out. I have writer’s block at this moment, which is  why I am unable to do this. Thank you!
