Examine the relationship between healthcare coverage (insurance), quality care, and reimbursements (payments) to health care organizations. Select two different major national (U.S.) insurance health plans. You may choose Medicaid, Medicare, HMO, PPO, or private insurance plans. You can choose your own personal insurance plan if you prefer. Review healthcare coverage options offered by both plans that benefit (facilitate) and hinder (limit) access to care. Context
Create a professional presentation to stakeholders. In this
presentation, you will explain the Plan-Do-Study-Act cycle and how it can be
used to introduce the plan (P), implement the plan (D), study the effectiveness
of the plan (S), and act on what is learned (A) to drive continuous
improvement. By using this cycle, the stakeholders will have a tool and a
proposal to expand on these ideas to drive workplace change and create improved
processes to solve an interprofessional collaboration problem.
Scenario
In addition to summarizing the key points of Assessments 2
and 3 (Please see a copy
of the completed Assessment 2 & 3 attachments to assist in completing this
assignment), you will provide stakeholders and/or leadership
with an overview of project specifics as well as how success would be
evaluated—you will essentially be presenting a discussion of the Plan, Do, and
Study parts of the PDSA cycle.
When creating your PowerPoint for this assessment, it is
important to keep in mind the target audience: your interviewee’s
organizational leadership. The overall goal of this assessment is to create a
presentation that your interviewee could potentially give in his or her
organization.

My aspiration to advance in nursing
and earn a master’s degree is deeply personal. It is a testament to my
unwavering commitment, the unwavering support of my family, and the flexibility
of my work schedule that allows me to pursue this goal.

Nursing care and simulation technology
are growing hand in hand. The MSN program in Nursing and Health Care Simulation
at UCF will prepare me and help advance my nursing profession to the next
level. Advancements in my profession will also provide better patient care and

To ensure success in my graduate nursing profession, I am
fortunate to have a supportive family and a husband who believes UCF provides
outstanding education since he is a Knight’ graduate. I also have the luxury of
a flexible work schedule and am eager and dedicated to advancing my education

The nursing shortage is among the most significant problems
in the U.S. healthcare system. The current nurse workforce should focus on growth
and career advancement, which can help educate and train new nurses.

Boards of Nursing (BONs) exist in all 50 states, the District of Columbia, American Samoa, Guam, the Northern Mariana Islands, and the Virgin Islands. Similar entities may also exist for different regions. The mission of BONs is the protection of the public through the regulation of nursing practice. BONs put into practice state/region regulations for nurses that, among other things, lay out the requirements for licensure and define the scope of nursing practice in that state/region.
It can be a valuable exercise to compare regulations among various state/regional boards of nursing. Doing so can help share insights that could be useful should there be future changes in a state/region. In addition, nurses may find the need to be licensed in multiple states or regions.
To Prepare:
Review the Resources and reflect on the mission of state/regional boards of nursing as the protection of the public through the regulation of nursing practice.
Consider how key regulations may impact nursing practice.
Review key regulations for nursing practice of your state’s/region’s board of nursing and those of at least one other state/region and select at least two APRN regulations to focus on for this discussion
Create  a disscussion Post a comparison of at least two APRN board of nursing regulations in your state/region with those of at least one other state/region. Describe how they may differ. Be specific and provide examples. Then, explain how the regulations you selected may apply to Advanced Practice Registered Nurses (APRNs) who have legal authority to practice within the full scope of their education and experience.
