By breaking down the concept into its defining attributes, the author is able to provide a clear analysis of its significance within the healthcare setting.
    The aim and purpose of conducting a concept analysis on the topic of the sacred in nursing practice is to shed light on the role that spirituality and religious beliefs play in the care of patients. Twentieth-century phenomenologist and cultural anthropologist Mircea Eliade (1973) studied cultures and religions throughout the world, arguing that the sacred is an element of the structure of the human consciousness and is a primary mode of human beings (Rader, 2023). By examining how the sacred is integrated into nursing practice, the author aims to highlight the importance of addressing the spiritual and emotional needs of patients in addition to their physical well-being.
