“Exploring the Synthesis of 2,2′-Bipyridine: A Presentation on an Organic Syntheses Article” Presenter: [Your Name] Title of Article: “Synthesis of 2,2′-Bipyridine from
It is the final project for my organic chemistry 2 lab.
i need to choose an article to write the project and make a video with slides discusssing this project.
I already picked up the article and i have the all information and the rubric. i just need someone to write and make the video for me.
i need the video to be just microphone, turn off the camera.
This is the article that i need to use, https://www.orgsyn.org/demo.aspx?prep=v101p0109
These are the information and the rubric for the assigment,

Introduction
The journal Organic Syntheses focuses on experimental procedures written with considerably
more detail as compared to the typical procedures found in other journals and in the “Supporting
Information” sections of papers. In addition, each Organic Syntheses procedure is carefully
“checked” for reproducibility in the laboratory of a member of the Board of Editors. The goal for
you with this project is to learn some more organic chemistry and demonstrate your
understanding of reaction chemistry and the synthetic tools to synthesize the compounds.
The Presentation Project
You will choose an Organic Syntheses Article to read. From this article you will create a
presentation video. If you have never done a video presentation before, I recommend
Screencastify, which is a plugin for Google Chrome. Your video should cover the aspects of the
Author Checklist that Organic Syntheses requires of its authors. I’ve highlighted some of the
parts of the checklist below and what you should focus on in your presentation. If your article
includes multiple reactions, you should only present one of the reactions in your presentation.
Start with the title of the paper and the overall reaction (which needs to be drawn in ChemDraw).
Then discuss the following:
1. Scale and Optimization
How large of a scale can this reaction be run safely? Is it expensive? Lots of information can be
found in the notes section of your article.
2. The Checking Process
A unique feature of papers published in Organic Syntheses is that each procedure and all
characterization data is carefully checked for reproducibility in the laboratory of a member of the
Board of Editors. Did the checker make any contributions or comments?
3. Reagents and Starting Materials
Any special precautions or purifications of the reagents required? Limiting and excess reagent?
Why is excess necessary?
4. Reaction Procedure
Describe every aspect of the procedure clearly and explicitly. Include temperatures, appearance
of the reaction (include pictures!). How is the reaction monitored? Is the order of addition
important?
5. Reaction Workup
Provide details about the reaction workup.
6. Purification
