“The Mental Health Effects of Resettlement on Hispanic Immigrants: A Focus on PTSD and Family Support”
You will write a research paper integrating
theory and empirical data on a topic of your interest relevant to the subject matter of this course (I already chose the topic). The final paper should be 10-12 pages long (12 pt font) and written according to APA format.
I chose a topic: the effects of army PTSD and how it connects to Criminal Behavior. I had to write a paragraph summary about what I would be discussing, which I will attach here, and the sources I used to gather my information. Now, what I’m attaching is just the start of the paper.
The exile of people because of the war, violence, and persecution has caused a huge number of refugees and immigrants to flee to new countries looking for a new life. This paper plans to study the mental health problems related to resettlement in these populations, especially the trauma and stress after migration. Taking into account the previous research, such as the ones done by Henkelmann et al., (2020), Stewart et al., (2014), Sangalang et al., (2018), and Xiong et al., (2021), The goal of this paper is to understand the frequency and intensity of anxiety, depression, and PTSD among refugees and immigrants settled in wealthy nations. As well as, explore the mental health problems that the African refugee parents have when they settle in Canada. Also Comparing the psychological conditions of refugees and immigrants in the USA, particularly trauma and stress after migration. The full knowledge of the psychological problems that refugees and immigrants face is the key to the creation of welcoming and supportive communities. In the process of the research, the study of the mental health effects of resettlement and the importance of family support is carried out in order to achieve the well-being and integration of refugees and immigrants.

Your instructor will want to know how you define the terms, perspectives, and ideas. Keep in mind that you still give credit to your source when paraphrasing the main ideas.
Describe each of these perspectives include a minimum of one peer-reviewed article or text reference for each perspective.
Select any two perspectives and identify similarities and conflicting viewpoints. How do these perspectives differ from the others? What are some common viewpoints in the perspectives?
