  • Lifespan Development: Exploring Controversial Topics in Pregnancy and Immunization

The title page should have my name ( Lorielle Lagarde ), school ( Chamberlain College of Nursing ) , class ( Lifespan Development) and professor name ( Dr Benjamin Clark )
    Introductions:
For this assignment, you will compare/contrast two controversial topics in lifespan development.
For the first one, your patient is a 43-year-old female. She is 4 months pregnant for the first time, and she never expected to get pregnant as she believed herself to be infertile. She has enjoyed 2 glasses of wine each night her entire first trimester because she read a few articles by some renowned international obstetricians who suggested that having a glass of red wine during pregnancy is healthy to maintain normal blood pressure and reduce anxiety levels.
Your patient, Claudia, wants to know if it’s important for her to stop drinking her red wine each night, or if the warnings given by her family are just “super strict and overly protective.” Claudia needs facts to change her mind about this topic. As her nurse/healthcare investigator, can you explain to her what the risks are for her to continue drinking 2 glasses of wine every night while she is pregnant? Do you think that you should also address other factors like her age, first-time pregnancy, etc.? Use your nurse/healthcare investigator skills and present the facts to her.
Next, you will explore the immunization controversy in the medical profession. Be certain that your answers are cogent, well-formed, and supported by outside research rather than based on personal opinion.
Write about the immunization controversy in the medical profession. Be sure to address why people delay immunizations and why some refuse all immunizations for their children. As a medical professional, how might you educate these caregivers about their child’s health and development concerning this issue? What is your role in this process/situation? How can you best respect the caregiver’s wishes and provide the best healthcare in this situation?

  • Perspectives in Psychology Title: Understanding Human Behaviors through Different Psychological Perspectives

    Perspectives in Psychology
Step 1: In this module, you learned about the main psychological domains and also covered some of the main perspectives in psychology. Think about some of the various perspectives you learned about (including psychoanalysis, behaviorism, cognitive psychology, humanism, and the biological approach), and explain how an alien psychologist from another planet might explain the following human behaviors:
Why do people cut or shave hair from their bodies (and why does it vary by sex, age, groups, etc.)?
Why do children in an elementary school walk in a line when going to class?
Why are people physically aggressive towards each other (and why might males might be observed doing so more than females)?
Explain each of the three behaviors with a DIFFERENT perspective. Give a well-founded explanation of how a psychologist would explain that behavior from that particular perspective.
Next, write a summary paragraph about which psychological perspective most resonates with you, and why. If you were to practice psychology someday, either as a therapist, counselor, teacher, researcher, or in some other capacity, which perspective do you think you might emphasize?

  • Title: Dig Deeper Assignment: The Impact of Social Media on Mental Health Component One: Article: “The Impact of Social Media on Mental Health: A Review of the Literature” by Primack, B. A., Shensa, A

The Dig Deeper assignments have five components, each worth 5 points.
    Component One
Find an article or video related to one of the provided topics for the week.
Provide a link(s) to the material that you have uncovered that will help us all have access to reading (or watching or listening) for ourselves.
This link must be one that is available to the public and does not require a password, or a fee, to access.
    Component Two
Give a seven to ten sentence recap of what the material covers.
Include what is important about the piece that you have chosen, and what it adds to our understanding of the topic that was not provided in the assigned readings.
    Component Three
Talk about your interest in the subject: why did you choose it?
What did you know about the subject before digging deeper, and what new information did you gain from your exploration?
Was what you found consistent with your prior knowledge or did it in some way change your perspective of the subject?
This section should also be seven to ten sentences.
    Component Four
Give a seven to ten sentence description of how  we currently view this topic and what changes have happened in the decades since.  Some examples:
If you choose a political policy, is it still in effect? Has it changed over time? How did it change the world, for better or for worse, for the people who were impacted during the era we are focusing on?
If you choose a diagnosis, has the criteria required to be diagnosed changed? Do we view the diagnosis in the same way that we did during the era we are discussing? Has the stigma of carrying the diagnosis changed, for better or worse?
If you choose a treatment or medication, would you consider it an acceptable course in treating the intended diagnosis?  Does it seem archaic and inhumane? Have the methods we use currently for the diagnosis changed?
If you choose a cultural item, how is it still impacting the world that we live in today?
    Component Five
Include a reference using APA formatting for the material you are sharing.
So, choose a topic that has been included in the material for the week, and get digging.
below is the article provided by my professor, There needs to be a second article that relates to this one.
