  • Title: “Exploring Psychological Concepts in Film: A Critical Analysis of [Film Title]” Synopsis: [Film Title] follows the journey of a young woman named Sarah who is struggling with her mental health. After a traumatic event, Sarah begins

    Paper Project
Your paper should be around 1200 words. Remember Quality not Quantity. I will not be counting your words.
There should be a one-paragraph synopsis of the film’s plot.
You should clearly identify 5 concepts from Intro to Psych (looking in your textbook’s glossary is a good choice) and explain how those concepts are illustrated in the film.
Concepts are specific ideas, not general topics. (So, a chapter topic– like memory– is not a concept. Episodic memory is a concept.) Use the terminology and information you learned in this course.
Identify your concept with a section heading in bold font.
Provide a critical analysis of the film: How good a job did the film do at accurately depicting each concept? In this section, you will be comparing the way in which the film depicted the concept, to how you would expect the concept to appear in real life, based on what you learned in this course. Explain why you think what you think about the relative accuracy of the concept.
Provide citations for the film, your textbook, and any additional references you use in a reference list at the end of your paper in APA style.
To avoid problems with plagiarism, you are limited to using 2 direct quotes, of no more than one sentence each, in this paper. All other information about your film should be indirect quotes (in your own words).

  • Title: Portrayal of Borderline Personality Disorder in “Crazy Ex-Girlfriend”

you will write a critical analysis of a TV, movie, or book character portraying someone with a psychological disorder (see Blackboard for a list of options). You will discuss the accuracy of the portrayal in relation to the diagnostic criteria and clinical picture of the disorder. If the diagnosis is not explicitly stated, you may provide your own diagnostic opinion by stating which diagnostic criteria the character meets. For one of the sources it must be the DSM-V. I have attached the rubric so you can see what all must be included to ensure I receuve a good grade on this.

In this week’s discussion, you will learn about neural communication by discussing how a drug of your choice affects brain activity and human behavior. Then, you will explain one neuroscientific research method that interests you. Support your claims with at least one peer-reviewed article.
In your initial post, answer the following prompts:
Choose one drug that interests you (street drugs or psychoactive medications).Explain your choice and why it is useful to study, including its impact on people and society.
Identify the drug’s most notable effects (behavioral, cognitive, or emotional), which brain regions are most affected, and how you might use this information in daily life.
Outline how the drug is thought to work. This is called its “mechanism of action,” and you can use Figure 4.7 of your text to help visualize how the drug may affect neurons, receptors, neurotransmitters, or other cellular components.
Explain one neuroscientific research method used to study the drug’s actions or psychological effects using a recent peer-reviewed article from the PubMed CentralLinks to an external site. website.Include a brief discussion of any ethical dilemmas related to the research methods.

  • “Assessing Readiness for Parenthood and Improving Achievement in Underserved Communities: A Comprehensive Approach”

    1. Identify two (2) personality tests/assessments, and EXPLAIN IN YOUR OWN WORDS, how you would use the tests to determine whether an individual’s personality shows readiness for parenthood. (50 points) 2. DISCUSS your choice of the tests and your expectation of the outcome. How would you measure validity and reliability of the tests? What personality traits are needed, AND WHY, to distinguish between characteristics or qualities to determine an adequate or inadequate parent? EXPLAIN how, or how not, projective tests could be useful in this determination? If so, DISCUSS how. DISCUSS your thoughts if a parent should be re-assessed, and if so HOW AND THE PROCESS? 3. Create a school assessment program to target increasing achievement scores of a public school with poor standardized test performance, in an underserved community. (50 points) EXPLAIN how you would develop the program with use of private and public resources. DISCUSS how the program would address the ranges of performance such as attention deficit disorders, and impairments related to visual, auditory and speech. HOW would you implement interventions to address mental health challenges such as anxiety, attention deficit disorders, depression, developmental delays, and stress issues related to pandemic experiences. Who would be recruited for the team and their role in the program.
