Why is each essay relevant to your research question/topic?
How does each essay add to your understanding or address knowledge gaps you have about the central research question/topic of your essay?
What evidence presented in each essay will help you to develop or advance your argument in your research project? How will this evidence help you to develop or advance your argument?
What evidence or reasons presented in each essay might challenge your argument? Why do you think it presents a challenge and how might you try to address the challenge?

The literature review situates your current study among the existing professional and scholarly literature. You should include (even briefly) studies that directly apply to your research question, especially those published in the last 5 years. A proper literature review is organized by theme and makes connections among sources. You are encouraged to paraphrase in a way that helps you cite multiple sources.
