My name is Kyla Walton. My career plan is to be a social worker and than became a lawyer to help get the criminals off the streets. This scholarship will help me because I am a 19year old girl that is a single parent. I am the NAACP president. I was the president of the academy team. I would need you to come up with some leadership qualities. I would just like for you to talk about me being a single working mother that needs all the help she can get to be able to go to school. This essay is for a scholarship to go to school to become a nail technician in the state of South Carolina. The subject of the essay is what I would like for myself in the future.
Let me give you a little bit about myself. My name is Samantha Youmans I am a 29-year-old female from North Charleston, South Carolina. To describe myself, I would say I am a social butterfly and an introvert at the same time. I feel like my purpose in life is to help others. I was raised around very strong and kind women that would Would put their best effort forward to helping anyone.
It took me some time in my 20s to fully understand what I would like to do in 2021. I was diagnosed with the Delta variant of Covid and spent some time in the hospital which ultimately led me into being a full-time wheelchair user.  
I see that my future is very bright. Although there are more obstacles placed in front of me with me being a full-time wheelchair user I know with God anything is possible. In my future, I’m going to be a State certified nail technician. I am going to be a graduate of the prevalent Institute. I see myself using my love and passion of helping others as a doorway to using my Learning experience as a nail technician. I will be able to use what I learned to create a welcoming environment for those that are seeking services for their nails.
