    Marital Paradigm
After reading Chapter 7, Write a paper in which you describe the Ideal Marital Paradigm.  Answer the following:
1-What kinds of behavior did you observe growing up in your home?
2-What assumptions were made about communication and conflict?
3-To what extent do you think this early training has influenced your adult relationships?
4-What kinds of improvements would you like to make, and how would you do so?
5-Chapter 7 is your primary reference point; you must cite it in your essay. Please include citations and list the textbook as your reference on the reference page.  You are expected to cite a minimum of three times.
For the personal questions, general situations of childhood experiences can be fabrictaed to better suit the contents of the essay. • Title: Sexual Harassment in the Workplace: A Tale of Two Cases and the Reality of Reporting

    Week 4: Monday, June 10 – Sunday, June 16
Read: Thomas: Chapter 4/A Hostile Environment: Meritor Savings Bank, FSB v. Vinson (1986)
Read: Thomas: Chapter 8/Taking it All the Way to Sandra “F-ing” Day O’Connor: Harris v.
    Forklift Systems, Inc. (1993)
**Weekly Assignment Due: Sunday, June 16 by 11:59pm**
    1. In chapter 4, what happened that led Vinson to file a lawsuit? Explain, citing specific examples from
the text. What did the person Vinson accused say happened? Do you consider this a “he said/she said”
case (where you cannot really prove it because each side claims something different) or not? Explain.
    2. Using what you learned from the WORD document I posted on sexual harassment, do you think what
Vinson experienced was quid pro quo or hostile work environment harassment? Explain, using examples
    from the Thomas book.
    3. In chapter 8, explain how what Harris experienced was similar or different to the Vinson case?
Would a “reasonable person” (see post on sexual harassment for this week) perceive what Harris
experienced at work as sexual harassment? Why did the author name the chapter “Taking it All
the Way to Sandra F-ing Day O’Connor? Explain, using examples from the text.
    4. What did you find most interesting/surprising about the cases for this week?
    5. Watch the film Bombshell or She Said (which are both based on real cases of sexual
harassment). What type of sexual harassment was portrayed in the film you chose? Give
specific examples. Given what you learned in the film, why do many women not report what
happened to them or hesitate to go on the record?
Note: You should be able to answer these questions in approximately three full pages total
(double-spaced). Do not include the questions in your submission on canvas. Do not use
ChatGPT, AI or any other internet sources for your answers. As always, cite where you got
information by saying (which version of the book you used / page number / paragraph where
    information was found).
