Review Ian Hamilton, The Erosion of Calvinist Orthodoxy, Mentor, 2010. The review should plot the major historical moves recorded in the book, determine what Hamilton’s intention in writing is, and decide whether the book’s argument is reasonable.
The book review brings into close contact with the issue of how a Confession (Westminster Confession of Faith) functions in the life of a Church. Tracing the contours of the loosening of subscriiption in Scotland in the 19th century, you will also engage deeply with the doctrines that were in dispute—the nature of the atonement in particular.
Follow the applicable requirements as indicated above for the topical paper (e.g. with regard to following ACT format, citing sources, word count, etc). However:
• You are not required to write an abstract for this learning task.
• You are not required to access resources other than the review book itself.
• If you only use the review book, you do not need to include a bibliography.

A crisp statement regarding the relevance of this article for your topic:
This article compares the conservative and liberal arguments on how divorce has impacted American Christian families and the culture in which these families survive. This particular argument discusses how the church and Christians, as a whole, are responding to divorce and how the liberals are using this against the values of Christians and the families affected by divorce. This is relevant to my research as I am looking at the cause and effect divorce has on the family, church, and community. In order to do so, I am looking at the history of divorce and its dissolution over the past 100 years.

“Black Women in the Catholic Church: Exploring Intersectionality, Identity, and Resistance in the Context of Sexuality and Morality”
develop a research agenda and write a 12-15 page paper. This research project centers on the experiences of Black women within the Catholic Church, investigating their roles, perspectives, and challenges within the context of Catholic teachings on sexuality and morality. Through an intersectional lens that considers the interplay of race, gender, and faith, the study aims to illuminate how Black women navigate and negotiate their identities and beliefs within the Catholic tradition. By exploring the ways in which Black women engage with and potentially resist dominant narratives surrounding sexuality and morality, the research seeks to contribute to a deeper understanding of the complexities of both religious identity and social justice within the Catholic Church. Through qualitative inquiry and analysis, this project seeks to amplify the voices and experiences of Black women in the Catholic community, shedding light on their contributions and struggles in shaping the ethical landscape of their faith.
I have attached a bibliography for what you should use in the research paper. Also you should find additional articles/books that are relevant to the research project. Copeland, M. S. (2010).
