Review Ian Hamilton, The Erosion of Calvinist Orthodoxy, Mentor, 2010. The review should plot the major historical moves recorded in the book, determine what Hamilton’s intention in writing is, and decide whether the book’s argument is reasonable.
The book review brings into close contact with the issue of how a Confession (Westminster Confession of Faith) functions in the life of a Church. Tracing the contours of the loosening of subscriiption in Scotland in the 19th century, you will also engage deeply with the doctrines that were in dispute—the nature of the atonement in particular.

This article compares the conservative and liberal arguments on how divorce has impacted American Christian families and the culture in which these families survive.
