Please use the assigned readings, including the textbook, in order to answer the questions below.
What is “meta analysis”: What are its major pros and cons?  Find a research article that uses a meta-analysis to study personality assessment to predict performance. Provide a brief overview and the main finding(s). Attach the PDF. 
The Principles (SIOP, 2018) speak to the concept of validity generalization.  What are the pros and cons of using validity generalization to support personnel selection?  Are you more swayed by proponents, such as Le et al. (2007) or the dissenters, such as James et al. (1992) and LeBreton et al. (2014)?
Paul Sackett is a past President of SIOP and is highly published and respected.  There are two articles in the Readings recently published by Dr. Sackett and colleagues; get familiar with both.  They may influence your answer to the meta analysis questions.
Look at Table 1 and Figure 1 in Sackett et al. (2023).  Do they make you want to change anything you wrote in Week 1 about any assessment practices, and maybe pique your interest in any different assessment?
Another past President of SIOP is Michael Campion. At a SIOP convention, he was quoted as saying that we will look back at the last 20 (now 30) years of using meta-analyses and wonder why.  Why do you suppose he feels that way?  (and still does, in checking back with him.)

To encourage interaction among the class, you will post your Research Assignment Part 2 and also review the work of your peers!
First: Post your Canvas studio presentation here for others to review OR your written research paper
Second: Watch/Read at least 2 other student’s presentations in their entirety and then answer the following five questions in your substantive feedback post to each student (400-500 words per review)
Identify 3 critical take home points from this presentation. 
What would you like to ask the author of this presentation regarding what they presented? This should be to further your own understanding.
Offer 2-3 recommendations that clarify how the presenter might change the presentation to make it even more engaging if they present this information again. Consider things like tempo, quality of research, order of material presented, ability to understand the presenter, etc.
What portion of the research presented did you find to be most compelling and why?
Find one place in the presentation to add or even offer alternative evidence from our textbook regarding statements made in the presentation.
Note: it is expected that you will provide helpful, thoughtful feedback. Do be respectful in your delivery, as you provide substantive and thoughtful and critical answers to each of these questions in their entirety. Work to provide solid reasoning for your assertions. Each post should really aim to help better the student’s skills around writing or presenting.
Do not offer your opinion of how the paper should be graded, as this is not your purpose in this peer review exercise. That is left entirely up to the instructor.
