Content and Expectations. In a 5 page paper, APA or Chicago Style citations, Times Roman, 12point-double spaced, essay, discuss the relationship between social media and democracy. In your response, define social media and evaluate and analyze its sociality. Introduce the concept of democracy and civics noting how they are designed to operate. Explain why social media has transformed or left unchanged the racial, gender, and class dynamics of democracies. Assess the role that false content plays in democratic outcomes. A strong essay will discuss ideology, theory, and other concepts emphasized in the course learning content. Your essay will be judged on how well you apply critical thinking skills to the content.
Citations and Sources. There should be at least 20 in-text citations in this paper. You must cite the course text at least ten times and a minimum of three course videos must be cited at least twice each. Only the learning content assigned to this point may be used. No other or outside sources are allowed and if introduced will result in an automatic 0 on the assignment.

Formatting: In college there is a very specific to write an essay. Anything short of these basic expectations will not be considered an essay. They include:

Additional Requirements:
Have a thesis – it must argue something (vague langue and value judgment will receive 0 credit – make an argument)
A strong UNDERLINED thesis (a thesis is one sentence) which should only appear in the opening paragraph.
