A firm operating in perfect competition has no influence over market price. It can sell any amount at the market-clearing price. “Closing the Digital Divide: A Sociological Comparison of Public and Personal Computer Usage in the Workplace”

    Instructions
You are working for a local department store in the Operations Department. You notice that their business practices and use of technology are not up to date. The Human Resources Department does not have adequate computer access and often requires employees to complete some business at home. They also require prospective employees to apply from home. You recognize that not all people have personal computers, and some might be accessing business and personal records from a public computer. There are two prominent sociological theories that can be used to easily examine computer usage for individuals and organizations. Those theories are Conflict Theory and Symbolic Interaction Theory.
At a staff meeting, you and your team are engaged in a discussion about the use of technology on both an individual and organizational level. You cite the digital divide as a major concern. Your store is considering an upgrade in some or all of their technological resources.
Recognizing that you are technologically savvy, your supervisor asks you to generate a visual comparison that considers the use of public computers versus a personal computer. You will rank concepts such as ease of use, time, and comfort in completing tasks, security factors, email management, and safety in conducting business that is typically completed on a computer that may lead someone to experiencethe digital divide (a difference between groups of people and their use of digital technology). You will also need to consider the sociological theories named above and explain how from a sociological perspective, it would benefit or hinder the store you work in to upgrade their technology.
Your comparison should consider various factors identified below and will illustrate the benefits and some potential limitations of utilizing technology. Your presentation will be presented to your supervisor and other members of the Operations Department in order to determine which, if any, components of the store’s current technological operations will be updated. The visual comparison can be in any engaging format that you select.
    MUST BE IN CHART FORMAT
For this comparison chart, you are to reflect upon and address the following sets of questions/information.
    • Define conflict theory.
    • Define symbolic interaction theory.
    • Discuss how each of these theories would explain the use of technology and the development of the digital world we now live.
    • Consider multiple ways that society has changed in the past several decades and what contributed to that change.
    • Provide examples of technological growth and change over the past several decades.
    • Make direct correlations between the technologies that exist and the changes that have occurred at the organizational and societal levels in the past several decades.
    • Define digital divide.
    • Consider factors that create the digital divide, such as access to technology, socioeconomic status, age, personal interest, location of residence, etc.
    • Based upon factors that cause the digital divide, suggest ways that this divide can be combated.
    • How does the digital divide apply to the store that you work in for this scenario?
    • Which theoretical perspective can best be applied to your store in the above scenario to help explain and counter the impacts of the digital divide?

“Targeting, Segmentation, and Positioning: A Marketing Strategy for Conical Pizza”

*****PLEASE READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS AND OPEN ALL FILES*****
!!!!!ONLY UNITED STATES BASED REFRENCES !!!!
    Conical Pizza
This competency assessment assesses the following Outcomes:
MT450M3-3: Develop a viable marketing strategy for a product using market segmentation, targeting, and positioning.
Read the scenario and address the checklist items of this competency assessment.
In 2020, Carlo or Carlo’s Pizza* launched a new concept of eating pizza — conical pizza! Instead of eating pizza in its traditional form, the pizza dough is eaten like an ice cream cone. The cones are made through a patented device created by Carlo. This technique allows consumers to eat pizza on the go with one hand. Therefore, the pizza does not drip with grease or sauce. The cones are personalized with whatever fixings the consumer desires. Market research indicated this product would be a huge success. The organization even started franchising the concept in 2021. Nevertheless, the company has had lackluster sales. Carlo believes they need to do a better job targeting the right customers, segmenting the market, and repositioning the product. He has hired you as a marketing consultant to help him out.
    Checklist:
    Describe the concept of targeting.
Create a customer persona for the conical pizza using target segments.
Research segments using the process of demographic, geographic, psychographic, and behavioral segmentation.
Propose the sectors with the greatest growth prospects, most profitable customers, and most promising opportunities for the conical pizza using scholarly research.
Create a value proposition using the conical pizza’s functional, psychological, and monetary value.
Prepare a customer value analysis to reveal the company’s strengths and weaknesses relative to various competitors.
    Describe the concept of positioning.
Address three points of difference (POD).
Address three points of parity (POP).
Develop a strategy for creating a sustainable competitive advantage.
Prepare a positioning statement for the pizza cone.
Directions for submitting this assessment. Write a 900- to 1,150-word paper with additional title and reference pages. Use the current APA format and citation style for any short quotes or paraphrases with accompanying references. Submit your paper to the Competency Assessment Dropbox.

Is written in Standard English with correct spelling, grammar, style, and mechanics.
Has a purpose clearly stated in your introduction statement.
Demonstrates logical and appropriate transitions from one idea to another.
Is highly organized, logical, and focused.
Includes additional title and reference pages in current APA format and citation style.
If the work submitted for this competency assessment does not meet the minimum submission requirements, it will be returned for revision. If the work submitted does not meet the minimum submission requirements by the end of the term, you will receive a failing score.

“Analyzing Sample Characteristics and Generalizability in a Qualitative Study on College Costs: A Case Study of Squeeze Play 2009”

Read Squeeze Play 2009 located in Module 2: Lecture Materials & Resources. Resource Attached.
References MUST be scholarly published in the last 5 years!!!!!
Please include AI and turn it in reports
This was a qualitative study utilizing telephone interviews as the methodology and using descriptive date (percentages) to describe the results. It’s an example of how qualitative research is conducted and how it can be reported.
After reading the article, write an article analysis that answers the following questions:
Look at the sample characteristics. Are these the sampling characteristics you would have chosen for this study?
How do the sampling characteristics relate to the population?
Regarding the household income, 45% of those surveyed was $49,000 and under with 24% under $25,000. How important would income be in answering this survey? Would it have been beneficial to separate the income into different levels? Would it have been beneficial to separate out the respondents with incomes of $75,000 or more which made up 31% of the respondents?
Does this article really ‘generalize’ the public’s view on college costs today?
How would you change this study to be more “generalizable” to the population?
This study was done in 2009. How would you change it to reflect current times?

“Architecture on Screen: A Critical Analysis of [Selected Film]” “Analyzing Architecture and Narrative in Film: A Critique of a Scene”

Ever wonder about how architecture is represented in science fiction, fantasy, crime, drama, comedy, or anime films? This assignment has you critically engage with how architecture is represented and how it’s represented in movies. You will choose a movie (not a television show, series, or limited series) but a feature-length film, and answer the questions below. You then will submit these elements in a single page pdf (under 2MB) with the image of your film still and your responses to the following questions about your selection. Answer all three questions utilizing any information or terminology gained from your ARCH 151 coursework.
Choose one film. Your selected movie can be from any genre or period but the assignment requirements must represent and describe an architectural or urban scene. Capture one film still (screenshot) from your selected movie, and then include these and the following in your submission:
Film Still: Include a single image of your selected film (still or screenshot), its title, release date, and a sentence or two describing the setting and plot.
Architectural Space: Describe the architectural space in your selected scene, its formal and structural elements (walls, floors, ceilings, structure, openings, stairs), materials and lighting condition, shadows, and colors, etc.). (70-100 words) [5 points]
Scene and Action: Describe the scene and actions in the selected location. (70-100 words) [5 points]
Architectural Critique: Write an architectural critique of the selected scene describing how the architecture facilitates, empowers, or challenges the film’s narrative and its theme. (70-100 words) [5 points]
Note: You are encouraged to read articles and reviews about your selected film, but your submission must be your own work. In case of intentional plagiarism, you will receive a failing grade on the assignment with no make-up opportunity.
