    Overview
Up until this point, the course assignments have been designed to support your engagement with population groups as change agents and to develop an organizational and community assessment. You are now in position to develop an intervention plan to address the condition you have identified, beginning with a clear frame of the condition and a working intervention hypothesis. You will then develop an intervention designed to collaboratively address the condition identified by the focal population. Consider the focal population and condition from your previous assignment submissions to complete this assignment.
By successfully completing this assignment, you demonstrate your proficiency in the following EPAS and generalist behaviors:
EPAS Competency 4: Engage in practice-informed research and research-informed practice.
C4.GP.A: Apply research findings to inform and improve practice, policy, and programs.
    Related Assignment Criteria:
Develop a frame for the condition that needs to change by including a qualitative statement, a quantitative statement, and a justification-of-action statement along with a working intervention hypothesis.
Assess critical functions and participants necessary to support the intervention by developing a roster of critical functions (systems) and participants (system representatives).
C4.GP.B: Identify ethical, culturally informed, anti-racist, and anti-oppressive strategies that address inherent biases for use in quantitative and qualitative research methods to advance the purposes of social work.
    Related Assignment Criterion:
Explain how you ensured a wide variety of perspectives by addressing intersections of diversity, such as race/ethnicity, age, gender, faith, allies, and politics.
EPAS Competency 5: Engage in policy practice.
C5.GP.A: Use social justice, anti-racist, and anti-oppressive lenses to assess how social welfare policies affect the delivery of and access to social services.
    Related Assignment Criteria:
Analyze the political and/or economic feasibility for implementing the proposed intervention and how you might address any barriers.
Describe how implementing the strategies will impact the quality of life for the focal population in the organization or community.
Apply a practical, a political, and an ethical issue associated with using the evaluation approach you selected for your specific intervention.
C5.GP.B: Apply critical thinking to analyze, formulate, and advocate for policies that advance human rights and social, racial, economic, and environmental justice.
    Related Assignment Criteria:
Explain the reason for selecting the strategy, or strategies, you plan to use in the proposed intervention (for example, collaborative, campaign, or contest) and any strategic taboos you have identified.
Explain two tactics you will use as part of your intervention strategy and your rationale for selecting them.
Explain the rationale for the type of approach you plan to use to evaluate your proposed intervention (for example, outcome-based, linear versus emergent, or non-linear).
EPAS Competency 6: Engage with individuals, families, groups, organizations, and communities.
C6.GP.A: Apply knowledge of human behavior and person-in-environment, as well as interprofessional conceptual frameworks, to engage with clients and constituencies.
    Related Assignment Criterion:
Develop a broad statement for what you expect to happen as a result of the proposed intervention using each of the following approaches: organization or community approach, policy approach, and practice approach.

“Addressing Reviewer Comments and Making Edits on a Research Paper Using Track Changes”

I have a paper that I wrote and it has been reviewed. I have a document that says what all needs to be edited. Please do not touch the methods and materials section.
Attached is the manuscript and the review comments. For each suggested commend correct on your paper using TrackChanges in Word so we can track what you did. Then, underneath each reviewer’s comments add in “corrected” or if they recommend adding in a new citation, put what citation you added in. Make these comments in red font so it is clear that you addressed everything even if it just said corrected. Both reviewers recommend changes in some of the citations, use the ones they recommend and if they don’t give one find a new one. Then, make sure to make edits in your reference list for those changes. DO NOT worry about the comments concerning methods/materials and methods
Make sure to use TRACK CHANGES

“Analyzing the Prank: A Rhetorical Analysis of a Trickster’s Successful Work” “The Trickster’s Work: An Analysis of Purpose, Rhetorical Techniques, and Language in Folklore and Literature”

    COMMENTS FROM TEACHER:
-You are meant to be giving a story about how the prank took place, the essay is not meant to revolve around rhetorical technichs and terms used but rather an explanation of how the prank was succesful while mentioning the use of rhetorical technics as evidence of the pranks success
    ESSAY RUBRIC:
CONTENT IDEAS, DEVELOPMENT, AND ORGANIZATION (80%):
Thesis (the work’s purpose)? See the comments above about sharpening and clarifying the thesis.
Description of the work? There is almost no description of the actual execution of the prank.
Avoids “padding”? The essay is almost entirely made up of unsupported generalizations.
Analysis of relevant rhetorical elements? It remains superficial. Without specific examples/evidence, there is really no real analysis.
Essay organization? See comments about adding specific evidence.
    1000-word minimum? Ö
    Minimum sources? Ö
Avoids Plagiarism (and provides in-text citations where required)? No in-text citations appear, which means that information from sources has not been acknowledged. That has to be corrected for the essay to avoid plagiarism and receive a passing grade.
    LANGUAGE, EXPRESSION, FORMATTING (20%):
Writing is clear. Formatting is correct (but I prefer a header to the title page, and extra spaces between paragraphs can be eliminated).
It will have to be revised in order to pass because it lacks the necessary specific details, clarification and in-text source citations.
SPECIFIC COMMENTS: “Abel, claiming to be the fictional G. Clifford Prout, utilized comedy and satire to not only entertain but also to make people think more critically about media and society” For the society part, wouldn’t it be more specific to say something about attitudes concerning nudity or obscenity?
    “specific topics.” Clarify
Be sure not to repeat elements that are previously mention” The combination of these rhetorical techniques directly contributed to the campaign’s impact. Abel’s use of ethos created a convincing face to SINA, and his use of irony and satire questioned how the media and society interact with content. Pathos gave the campaign memorability and appeal and logos questioned people’s intellectual participation with news and media. Abel’s mix of rhetorical techniques not only entertained but also educated the audience about the media’s effect and the importance of carefully analyzing material. Abel demonstrated through SINA that even the most ridiculous statements could thrive in the media, especially when they are stated with a authority and by somebody credible” is already said and then re stated
I will not go into details because it happens to often but be sure that every detail mentioned is backed by evidence that supports it, citattions, paraphrasing etc.

I HAVE GIVEN YOU SOURCES TO CITE TO SAVE YOU TIME
    Instructions
TRICKSTER ANALYSIS ESSAY: DUE on APRIL 24th, before class. Late penalty: 5% per day late. Passing the course requires a passing final essay grade.
Assignment: In a (minimum) 1000-word essay, describe in detail your chosen trickster’s WORK and analyze the relevant rhetorical elements that are used to achieve the work’s purpose. Ideally, description and analysis are integrated/blended with each other in the essay.
YOUR ESSAY’S RHETORICAL SITUATION – GENRE, PURPOSE, AUDIENCE:
Genre: Description/Analysis essay, which includes a title, introduction (with a thesis stating the trickster’s work’s purpose or contribution to the world), body paragraphs developing support for the thesis, and a conclusion. Use MLA formatting of in-text citations and Works Cited sources. A minimum of three sources is required, at least one of which is textual.
    Audience: Your classmates
Purpose: To inform and educate your classmate audience about the WORK of your chosen trickster (artist, prankster, writer, activist, etc., individual or group) and the work’s purpose.
GRADING RUBRIC – Evaluation of the essay is based on the categories listed below.
    A.   CONTENT IDEAS, DEVELOPMENT, AND ORGANIZATION (80%):
Is there a thesis that states the trickster’s work’s purpose (or contribution to the world)?
Does the essay provide a detailed, written description of the trickster’s work?
Does the essay stay focused on the trickster’s work, and avoid “padding” with superficial generalizations, excessive biographical information, unnecessary background, etc.?
Does the essay provide detailed analysis of the relevant rhetorical techniques and devices used to achieve the work’s purpose? (Consult separately posted glossary and table of rhetorical elements.)
Are the parts of the essay clearly organized and easy for your reader to follow?
Does the essay meet the 1000-word minimum length requirement?
Does the essay use at least three separate reliable and relevant research sources, at least one of which is a textual source?
Does the essay avoid plagiarism? Plagiarism will earn you a 0 for the essay, a report to the Registrar, and probable failure of the course.
    B.   LANGUAGE, EXPRESSION, FORMATTING (20%):
Has the essay been carefully revised to minimize errors in grammar, sentence structure, quotation integration, punctuation, and spelling (proofread aloud and use your word processor’s editor!)? https://www.guidetogrammar.org/grammar/index2.htm. And has the essay been properly formatted using MLA style for the header, title, margins, spacing (1.5 or 2), in-text citations, and Works Cited documentation? https://owl.purdue.edu/owl/research_and_citation/mla_style/mla_formatting_and_style_guide/index.html and https://library.concordia.ca/help/citing/mla.php
