NOTE: As indicated by the APA Publication Manual, the paper must end with a reference section. An abstract is optional in this paper. At least seven scholarly works (journal articles, evaluation reports, and/or book chapters) must be referenced.
Paper Sections/Major Headings
I. Background, Study Rationale and Aims [1 – 2 pages]. Begin with a problem statement that identifies the issue the study proposes to examine. Follow this with a brief section on the study rationale; why should this study be conducted, and what is its significance? How will the study be important to the target population, the community, the larger society, etc.? Remember, the objective here is to convince readers/funders of the need for the study. Be succinct but also strive for impact and incorporate relevant statistics and data that highlight the need to study the issue identified in the problem statement. Close this section with the study aim(s), research question(s), and hypothesis(-es).
II. Proposed Methodology [3 – 4pages]. In this section, address how the study will be conducted. The following bullet points are intended to guide the content of the methodology section:
• Describe and justify the study design. Be specific. For example, is the design quasi-experimental or experimental? Is it retrospective, cross-sectional, longitudinal, etc.? Will there be a comparison group/control group, and how will that group be constructed? Be sure to explain the choice of study design; why is it the most appropriate for the study? Moreover, address issues and threats to internal and external validities.
• Describe the sample (human participant characteristics) and recruitment strategies. What type of probability or non-probability sampling will be employed and why? What will be the source of the sample and the number of participants?
• Lay out the data collection procedures. What steps will be taken, and by whom, to collect data and provide informed consent? What specific data will be collected, from whom, and for how long? Articulate how the chief study variables will be operationalized and measured. Address the reliability and validity of measurement tools. Propose the use of at least one existing scale/measurement, identify it by name and report on its reliability and validity as noted in the literature (including the citation of such indicators as Cronbach’s alpha, etc.). For those variables where an instrument is not readily available, indicate the concepts that need to be measured and be clear about how these concepts will be observed. Be sure to identify the level of measurement of the variables. Issues of reliability and validity should be addressed for these measurement approaches, as well.
III. Proposed Data Analysis Plan [1 – 2 pages]. In this section you need to address the data analysis plan. What kind of data you have collected, how do you plan to analyze?
a. Quantitative, Univariate, and Bivariate Analysis: indicate what kind of variables you collected, and you intend to analyze, what test you will be using to answer your questions and test your hypothesis, and what kind of indicators you will be looking for.
b. Qualitative: Content analysis, thematic analysis, and coding. Indicate what approach you will be utilizing to look for patterns in the data, what indicators you would be looking for and what evidence supports your findings.
V. Major findings [3 – 5 pages] in this section you will need to report on the major findings from the collected data/secondary data based on the proposed analysis in the previous section. For instance, whether you were using quantitative or qualitative analysis approach you will need to report on the major characteristics/ demographics of your targeted population, for instance, age, income, education level, race, ethnicity, household type and size, incarceration history, history of mental illness, etc…
Whether you were using an open-ended or a close-ended questionnaires/surveys, interviews “structured, unstructured, or semi structured” focus groups, and/or observation “direct, indirect, participatory”
Quantitative: The following section should include the findings form the major test that you conducted to test your hypothesis, report the significance value and state your decision whether your hypothesis/hypotheses were accepted or rejected.
Quantitative: The following section should include the findings form the major patterns, themes and or codes that you have determined based on the collected data, you will also need to support your findings with anecdotes and quotes from the data, or numbers from examined records, and secondary data.
VI. Discussion, Conclusion, and Recommendations [1 – 2 pages]. Discuss the major findings from the previous section and explain whether your research question(s) were answered and why. Moreover, explain your findings from your hypothesis testing, for instance, if your hypothesis were accepted or rejected what does that pertain to. In addition, discuss and explain whether your findings were consistent with the findings from the literature and why? What do you conclude from that? Finally, end this section and your study with some recommendations based on your literature review and your study findings.
Submit the final proof-read draft of your paper in Word Format. Cite at least seven different scholarly sources and use APA format throughout the paper.
*I already have most of the paper written. I would like assistance with condensing and revising the topic to make more sense. Data may be needed as well but I would like to keep research qualitative if possible.

“The Social Impact of Poverty: An Examination of Causes, Solutions, and Social Movements”
This is the benchmark essay for my sociology class. It deals with a social problem that we chose at an earlier date, I chose poverty, and how it is a social issue. The idea of this essay is to support the claim that it is a social issue using subjective and objective evidence, give solutions to the issue using research collected, identify social movements that have been about the issue, and give a theoretical perspective that best relates to the selected social problem (conflict, functionalist, or symbolic interactionism).
In the attachments is the worksheet used to create the general idea of the paper, the description of what the paper is aiming to do, and how it should be formatted, and also the different sections of the rubric. APA 7 is the formatting style needed, no abstract. -

Title: “From Inquiry to Action: A Proposal for Communicating the Findings of My Research Project” Background: As a student, I have always been interested in the effects of social media on our society. I often found myself wondering about the
I linked my annotated bibliography down below along with the six sources that need to be used. I also linked a sample of an Inquiry Proposal my professor provided.
INSTRUCTIONS:
For your Inquiry Project, you started with something you were wondering about or something you wanted to know more about. You developed a set of questions and then conducted research to answer your questions. In the process, you may have shifted your focus, or developed more questions. As you found promising sources of information, you created an Annotated Bibliography to track your sources and what you learned from them. So now what? Now you’ll decide what to do with what you learned. This proposal will give you the opportunity to review what you learned and decide what to do with this information. Please format your proposal in sections as described below.
Background (How you got started)
In this section please provide background and context for your project. Write about how you got started, how you chose your topic, what was interesting about it, what you hoped to learn (what questions you wanted to investigate), how your inquiry focus changed through the research process.
Discoveries (What you learned)
In this section, you’ll focus on what you learned through your research. This is where you’ll report on the answers to your questions. If it helps to keep you organized, you might organize this section by listing your inquiry questions and what you learned or you might organize by identifying each source and what you learned from each. If you weren’t able to answer or fully answer your questions, this section might also include directions for further research. What do you still want to know?
Relevance (Why this matters and to whom)
In this section you’ll write about why this information matters and to whom? Why is it important to know? Why is it relevant (to you or to others)? Besides you, should know this information? Who would be interested in this information? Who would benefit from knowing what you learned? In other words, who is your intended audience? And how would it benefit them to know this information?
Propose a Project (What will you do with this information?)
As a result of your research, what project can you imagine? How could you communicate about what you learned with an audience? Since you are only planning a project and won’t actually do it, there are no limitations. If you want to educate others, you might decide to create an informative brochure or poster. If you want to inspire others to act, you might decide to hold a march or rally featuring a speech. If you want to communicate more broadly, you might design a website or a blog. If your audience is little kids, you might design a board game.
Describe your proposed project
Explain the parts or sections you’d include. For example, if you decide to create a poster, you would mention the images you plan to use, the data, charts or graphs, and the other informational sections, like “Why ____ is a Problem,” “Causes of ____,” and “What You Can Do.”
Provide a rationale – based on what you learned and your audience, explain why/how your proposed project is the best way to communicate what you learned. -

Title: “Navigating a Toxic Culture: A Day in the Life of Mark, a New Emergency Department Nurse”
Meet Mark.
Mark is excited to begin training as an emergency department nurse. On his first day, the nurse training him makes multiple negative remarks about the physician on duty. “Don’t ever make a suggestion, or she’ll ream you out. You have to walk on eggshells around her.” Later, another nurse is showing Mark where the supplies are kept. She tells him, “If you can’t find things, don’t call Central Supply because they’ll get on your back about wasting resources. It’s better to keep a few key things like IV start kits hidden so you can grab them when you need them.”
Three emergency department nurses standing next to a patient bed
Toward the end of his shift, a nurse assistant tells Mark a patient is vomiting violently in one of the examination rooms. However, Mark walks in to find the patient sitting up smiling and only a small amount of emesis in the basin. He hears muffled laughter coming from the hallway. Later in the shift, the nurse who is training Mark comments, “Hope you don’t mind a little kidding around. This job can get to you, and it’s good to laugh when we can.”
The remainder of his training is free of other incidents and, overall, goes well.
Case Study Questions
What kind of culture best describes this department based on the scenario? Support your reasoning.
What appears to be the implicit rules of the emergency department of this organization?
Mark used respectful communication to optimize his relationships with the Central Supply staff, the nurse assistants, and the nurse training him. What barriers might exist in building respectful dialogue?
In what ways are you like Mark? In what ways are you different? -

Title: Understanding Memory: The Power of Chunking Presentation Link: https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/1RkFJWgB8C5Yp2Nz8Jp6Bh6Lr7
Create a short slide presentation related to material from chapter 3 or 4 and share it with the class. You can be creative with this post.
**I don’t want more than 2 students to make a presentation about the same topic, so it will be YOUR responsibility to look through the titles of all posts before you submit. You will be docked points if you don’t follow this direction. You can make a post that says what you are “calling” so you don’t have to worry about working on a post and by the time you’re done two others have already posted about it.
Can use:
– https://jeopardylabs.com/Links to an external site.
– PowerPoint
– Google Slides
– Prezi
– other ideas?
Title: Chapter ?, topic of presentation
Go more in-depth than the posted PowerPoint in teaching your term to the class. This should be 2-5 slides of content (title and references slides don’t count as content).
Your presentation should be helpful to the students in the class as you study for your exam. Do NOT just restate what is said in the book, like a definition, or what I said in my slides.
Attach your presentation to the post (if you can embed it do that, but I’m not sure that’s possible this week). You can also post a web link instead of attaching (like for Google Slides or Prezi).
Describe your aid in 100-150 words, and why it’s useful in understanding the concept. (That’s right, you won’t be held to the 300 words this week because there will be words, images, etc. in your presentation) -

“The Business of Healthcare: The Role of a Long-Term Care Administrator and the Importance of Adaptability and Communication”
Hi, I will attach my introduction and experience paragraphs but I would like the writer to write the rest of the paper and match a bit of my writing style. Thank you!
Intro:
Healthcare, often viewed through the lens of compassion and service, is fundamentally a business. This business aspect becomes particularly evident in the role of a long-term care administrator. The administrator has multiple tasks to manage, many of which require concentration and knowledge. In healthcare settings, an administrator’s responsibilities go beyond simply providing patients medical attention. It includes a wide range of duties that are essential to the facility’s efficient operation and the residents’ well being. A healthcare administrator is continually responsible for attending to the needs of residents or patients, supervising employees, communicating with family members, abiding by local rules and regulations, and fulfilling the demands of the organization. Each of these responsibilities demands a unique set of skills and a deep understanding of the healthcare landscape.
Extra paragraphs and experience:
Drawing from my internship experience at X Health, I understand the importance of ensuring the safety and well-being of patients. During my time there, I assisted professionals with transferring patients to different locations within the hospital. This task required meticulous attention to detail and a deep sense of responsibility, as any mistake could have serious implications for the patient’s health. In addition to transferring patients, I was also responsible for transporting specimens of tests, blood, etc., from the GI Lab to the laboratory and/or pathology. I recorded crucial patient information such as the time delivered, patient’s name, diagnosis, and specimen type. This experience taught me the importance of accurate record-keeping in patient care and how it contributes to the overall quality of healthcare services.
During my internship, I experienced a significant change in management when X Medical Center transitioned to X Health. This change provided me with firsthand experience in understanding and adapting to new corporate expectations. The transition was not just a change in name but also involved shifts in mission, vision, and procedures. A representative from X Health guided us through this process, ensuring that we understood the new direction the organization was taking. This experience taught me the importance of clear communication during times of change and the need to align personal objectives with the organization’s goals. Despite the change in management, the priority remained to provide quality care and foster an environment of safety. This continuity of care was crucial in maintaining trust among patients and staff. It reinforced the idea that while corporate strategies might change, the fundamental goal of healthcare, to ensure the well being of patients, remains constant. The transition also involved adapting to new procedures, systems, and technology. This required a willingness to learn and the ability to quickly incorporate new methods into daily routines. It highlighted the importance of flexibility and adaptability in a healthcare setting.
