This essay is partly based off an assignment I completed earlier this semestor, I went above what I was supposed to do for that assignement so it has a large start for this paper really to go. I’d do it myself I just don’t have the time so I need help finishing it. I’ll upload a copy of that text, it should be used and the essay built around the work from that assignement. There will need to be more sources added as it’s suppose to have some research done to add more layers to the paper. Here is the assignemnt for this paper:
Introduction to Fiction:
We are about to explore the world of fiction writing. To kick off this exploration, I’d like you to write an argumentative essay about a topic related to the subject of fiction. That could be on the importance of libraries, the benefit of reading to children, or whether or not there are bad books. Of course, don’t limit yourself to these topics but make a claim that can be argued. Ask yourself, ” What do you want the reader to believe?” and consider picking a topic you are more passionate about. For example, consider using this Neil Gaiman article as inspiration for your thesis state and/or for one of your sources:

This paper should be a minimum of 3 double-spaced pages (12-point font). You will find four sources to support your essay all of which should support your topic in some way. Practice gathering, evaluating, synthesizing, and documenting a range of sources in support of a persuasive essay. Links to an external site.

You should be developing a claim. An essential element of an argumentative essay is your claim which ties into your thesis statement. A strong thesis statement for an argument essay states a clear position on the issue. You can start by asking a question about your topic, writing your initial answer, and doing research. Below are some examples. If used, they should be expanded upon or given a personal twist.
Using fiction as a form of escapism is beneficial for mental health.
Children should be allowed to read whatever they want.
It is important to read fiction to foster a child’s imagination.
Reading fiction builds empathy and creates stronger citizens.
Libraries should be fostered by the community.
Requirements:
Make sure each paragraph in your essay is organized around one specific topic.
This paper should be a minimum of 3 double-spaced pages (12-point font) and have at least five paragraphs. Find four sources for your essay that support your claim. Make sure that they are from scholarly sources (the Molstead LibraryLinks to an external site. can help!).
Use MLA (or APA) formatting (See the Molstead Library and PurdueOwl).

Purpose: To develop a specific thesis (main claim) that responds to the above prompts and gives shape and direction to your essay. Your thesis should be integrated into the introduction of your essay.
To use telling details, facts, and observations with vivid language to engage your readers in your essay.
To gather and evaluate sources as evidence to support your writing.
Audience:
Consider your audience skeptical of your topic. You will be writing toward a more demanding, imagined audience. From this writing assignment, you will see the challenge of crafting one’s persuasion and research toward an audience that is initially skeptical, rather than “preaching to the choir.”
Checklist:
The prompt is fully understood and all questions on the assignment have been asked.
The essay follows all MLA (or APA) general formatting guidelines (heading, font, page numbers, line spacing).
The essay has an interesting and informative title.
The introduction sparks the reader’s interest and provides any necessary background information on the topic.
There is a thesis statement in the introduction that states the topic and position of the essay. The thesis statement leads the reader through the body paragraphs.
There are three body paragraphs serving to structure the essay. Each body paragraph has a single focus and a clear connection to the thesis statement.
There is an effective use of topic sentences introducing each body paragraph and clear transitions between paragraphs and ideas.
There is an effective use of quotations and paraphrasing to support the argument and add authority to the essay.
The conclusion restates the topic and thesis as the last chance to prove the claim being made. Additionally, the conclusion has some impactful moments and doesn’t rely on too much repetition or cliché.
The essay was proofread using several different methods (reading aloud, peer review, Grammarly)
There is an in-text citation for every quote or piece of information from another source.
There is an MLA Work Cited page at the end of the essay, listing full details of all used sources.

First, what did you think of the story, did you like it? Did it confuse you? Explain.
What is the narrator like? How does he change over the course of the story?
Is the story (or the characters) symbolic somehow? The story itself makes it clear that the main event is impossible, so how do we resolve the mystery?
Titles can be super important. In this story, why do you think the title is in present tense?
